Policies
Health and Safety Policy
We want our centre and activities to be safe for everyone who takes part.
Our commitment
Revive Community Centre CIC will take all reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of participants, volunteers and visitors, in line with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
What we do
- Carry out risk assessments for our venue, regular activities, trips and events
- Keep a first aid kit on site and have a trained first aider available at activities where possible
- Record every accident or incident and review what we can learn from it
- Follow the fire safety procedures of our venue and make sure everyone knows the exits and assembly point
- Keep appropriate adult-to-child ratios at children’s activities
- Follow food hygiene good practice at community meals
- Ask parents and carers to tell us about medical conditions, allergies and additional needs
- Make sure physical activities such as Kung Fu are led by experienced instructors
Responsibilities
The director is responsible for health and safety. Every volunteer is responsible for working safely and reporting hazards straight away.
Reporting
Please report any accident, near miss or hazard to a member of our team or by email to info@revivemanchester.uk.
Review
This policy was adopted in October 2026 and will be reviewed every year. Next review: October 2027.
